I am a big advocate for not keeping one's phone in the bedroom for exactly the reasons you've outlined. Our brains take a bit longer to wake up than our bodies do, give it some time to find it's footing before subjecting it to the firehouse of the internet. "Don't bother me until I've had my coffee" is actually a kindness!
