Great quote on AI. Being passionate about changing the world for the better is part of why I'm interesting in it. I think it's hard to perceive the negative because once we reach singularity - the point at which AI learns quicker than humans possibly can - it's knowledge will be unfathomable (and uncontrollable).

All the negatives play out like movies in my mind. 'It's understood that Hollywood sells Californication'

P.S. on your blog you asked which of my emails were written by AI, and I didn't get chance to reply. It's the one titled 'Breathing Wrong?' (note about 20% was my own input), and my most recent 'Never lose' email is probably a good balance between my personal views and interests and self-help stuff that can seem quite robotic anyway, 😂.

Oh, hey!!! That's what's really difficult for me to come to terms with, allowing machines so much power and control over us, and then what? It's a dystopian nightmare.

I'm reading 'Breathing Wrong?' and it's uncomfortable knowing it's 80% AI. I don't understand how AI works, and to see its' creation mirror that of a human's so well is eerie. Idk if that's an overreaction and please let me know if it is, but wow... I hate to not know whether AI or a human created the content I'm consuming. I can't give a coherent reason for it, but it's... disorienting.

Oh, wanted to add, love the topic of breathing! I was in a very stressful situation last summer and my breathing was so shallow, I didn't realize how anxious I was until someone mentioned my irregular and shallow breathing. My best friend taught me to breathe into the belly and not chest, and it's been super helpful to be mindful of that.

Me too. I had been told I breathe shallowly during a vocal lesson a few years ago, but it wasn't until recently I realised the power of mindfully breathing! I still sometimes unconsciously hold my breath when I'm anxious but I become aware more quickly now

Aren't we already in a dystopian nightmare? I don't think holders of power can create utopia simply due to the nature of people who seek power - and even the nature of those who seek the change the world but are able to gain power required to do so. I am more worried about the corruption of the controllers of the AI, than the corruption of the AI, if you see what I mean?
