Scroll-free evenings
On joyful solitude, quality time spent with others, and alternative activities for evenings spent away from the internet
Hi there,
A friendly reminder: My attention is reserved for important things.
Five things to share:
Evening starts when you’re done all your tasks for the day. It’s that lull in-between dinner and sleep; too tired for anything productive, too wired for sleep so you fill it with the internet. Scroll, scroll, scroll. Because you’re scrolling, because of the blue light, rage, and information overload, you are even more wired. Sleep alludes you. You scroll more. It’s a never-ending cycle. Night after night, day after day. You know what to do, why don’t you do it?
From Broken Pencil:
A failed haiku I want to share with you:
end of year savings
I managed to save
my lifeAh, ah, ah.
A question for you: What is it that you’re unwilling to feel?
Tell me, tell me, tell me. (We’ll be alright ❤)
P.s. I cannot say enough about how wonderful it is to have friends who just get it because they’ve got similar screws loose as you, similarly wrecked. It’s a piece of heaven on earth to be in their company, a delight. Seek them deliberately and diligently.
That’s all for this week!
Thank you for reading, and share with anyone you think may benefit.

I typically do that not so much in the evening but first thing in the morning. I need to retrain my brain to pick up my 10-year-old Kindle instead right after I wake up...
