(I'm guilty of not reading books I'd disagree with as well. I'm more likely to read blogs I disagree with, but then I find I'm coming across writers who, if I can be honest, are not the best examples of the argument I'm looking to become familiar with.)

It's hard to figure out sometimes whether it's the argument itself or the way that it's presented that's the problem, the latter is the problem for me with The Madness of Crowds.
