You don't have to be a statistic
62.3% of the world's population uses social media; the average daily usage is 2 hours and 23 minutes; nearly 1 in 4 adults feel lonely; yada yada yada
Hi there,
You don’t have to use social media. You don’t have to spend 2.5 hours daily scrolling. You don’t have to be alone. You could, but you don’t have to. There are no rules, only consequences.
Five things to share:
“How old are you?” “Fifteen.” “You look twenty.” It’s a dare: If you’re willing, I’m willing. Vultures, lil’ fast girls. By 17 I understood one can perish, whither away, from lack of attention, and so I went searching for it in all corners of reality and Facebook(dot)Inc. Facebook only asked, What’s on your mind? By 23 I learned one can perish, whither away, from the wrong kind of attention— of vultures and shiny Silicon Valley app icons— and so I went searching for an alternative. By 28, I understood once again, well you know by now, one can perish, whither away, from one’s inability to pay attention to one’s own truth, of that little inner voice whispering— beneath all the noise, debris, junk drowning it— all that one needs to know, all that can save you, and so I’m currently in practice of paying attention to that voice.
“Alles ist Scheisse,” he announced.
Another gem from my book club I’m currently obsessed with. I get all my recommendations IRL <3
A quote I want to share with you:

A challenge for you: Rest & Recline
P.s. “The single most powerful thing you can do in a relationship, whether it’s personal or professional, is to give someone 100% of your attention.” (Source)
That’s all for this week!
