100% better

Hi there,

The internet truly sucks. Anything else is better than 93.8 per cent of the internet; it just takes effort.

Below are five things I thought were worth sharing this week:

  1. It’s not that the internet distracts from real life. It’s that we want escape from real life. Make reality as enticing as digital junk by cultivating high quality leisure.

  2. I’m just not reading books lately. It do be like that sometime.

  3. In Digital Psychosis, a social media vlogger wakes up to find himself no longer inside his body and forced to continue his career and life from a detached, unfamiliar state.

  4. A quote I want to share with you this week:

“There is a great secrete in knowing what to keep out of the mind as well as what to put in.”
    — Ralph Waldo Emerson

93.8 per cent of the internet needs to be kept out of the mind.

  5. One of our time's great sociological questions is why we filled downtime back up with work, and the reason is it's better than alcoholism. In: Randi Zuckerberg Thinks We Should Untangle Our Wired Lives.

That’s all for this week!

Thank you for reading, and please share with anyone you think may benefit.

"One of our time's great sociological questions is why we filled downtime back up with work, and the reason is it's better than alcoholism." Great teaser line!!

Thank you again for your devotion to this unplugging theme.
