Don’t should on yourself
Perfection is the enemy of perfectly adequate
To the lovely lady who approached me at the train station yesterday and said, “now, who told you you can have the same bag as me,” and we chatted until I almost missed my stop, you were so delightful. ❤️
Five things to share:
Confession: I have been spending way too much time online lately. It happened over time. I would give in a little bit here, a little bit over there, and it adds up. There are the excuses, of course, and the accidental discoveries that stop the old tricks from working, and the exhaustion from letting myself down yet again. I should know better, I think, I should do better, and I’m learning: Don’t should on yourself.
Unrelated, but since I’m on a shameless/shameful digital binge, I started watching Better Call Saul and liking it so far. Also, how do you just pay attention to one screen, one content, one distraction??? Uhm… Offline is much simpler.
A quote to share with you:
If you treat everyone with respect and dignity, they will respond with respect and dignity too.
— Lovely lady on the train
Perfection is the enemy of perfectly adequate.
— Jimmy McGill (Better Call Saul)
