Hi there,
A friend said, sunshine is crack. Mood all summer.
Five things to share:
I'm practicing sitting still, doing nothing.I sit outside. I let the sky, clouds, trees, birds, sound of cars, the sun, passers by keep me entertained. It requires no special equipment, nor any special skills, to sit still. It's free. It can be done anywhere; preferably outside. A bird might shit on you, but that's life. Getting fresh air and a dose of sunlight is worth the risk. In praise of doing (absolutely) nothing
Our brain never turns off. Even when we give our mental muscles a break and just stare off into space, there’s still a lot going on between our ears. Neuroscientist Marcus Raichle explains what our brain is doing when we’re doing nothing.
A quote I want to share with you (again):
In our 24/7, “always on” age, the prospect of doing nothing might sound unrealistic and unreasonable, but it has never been more important.
A question for you this week: When was the last time you did absolutely nothing, not even scrolling, for longer than five minutes?
That’s all for this week!
Thank you for reading, and please share with anyone you think may benefit.
