Rules for play
An alternative to scrolling
This newsletter now contains an additional section, collateral damage, a bi-weekly, diary-style publication chronicling my journey towards self-recovery through self-expression and play, which will be sent out every other Sunday.
Five things to share:
Play is the work of children. It consists of those activities performed for self-amusement. It is person-
child-directed, and the rewards come from within the individual child; it is enjoyable and spontaneous.
A quote I want to share with you:
Every day it gets a little easier… But you gotta do it every day — that’s the hard part. But it does get easier.
― Jogging Baboon/ BoJack Horseman
I recently called my dad and said to him, “I’m bored! Any gossip?” And my dad said, “All is well. Justin Trudeau got divorced,” and that is how I found out my Prime Minster is single. Plus, you have people in real time to process the news with; shock, gasp, exacerbated sighs, banters— “Everyone gets divorced now, nothing new!”
A question for you: “What did you do as a child that made the hours pass like minutes? Herein lies the key to your earthly pursuits.”
That’s all for this week!
Thank you for reading, and share with anyone you think may benefit.
