Hi there,
In every person there are two wolves who are always at war with each other. One is evil, the second one is good. Which wolf wins? "The one you feed."
Five things to share:
Each day, I wake up and face two wolves. Just like you. One wants me to stay home, where it’s warm, cozy, safe- known, and entertain myself on the World Wide Web. Second Wolf wants to go out, check out that new theatre, meet that new person, go back to that bar with the friendly owner from last time; chase the living. Which wolf wins? The one I feed.
What I enjoyed offline this past (two) week(s):
Watching Puss In Boots: The Last Wish in theatres with my niece and sister, and the lady with uncontrollably infectious laughter making everything even funnier.
1-hour walks paired with phone conversations for lunch; (re)exploring the city and remembering demons hate it when I go outside, demons hate fresh air.
Seeing everyone again at my workout studio after the holidays, catching up on what we got up to and the feeling of genuine delight in seeing familiar faces.
Watching Rocky for the first time at the city’s oldest movie theatre in use.
Saturday night spent on the phone with my girlfriend for 3+ hours.
A quote I want to share with you:
What we attend to and how we attend make all the difference in how we think.
— Maryanne Wolf in Reader, Come Home
I’m attending to reality. It makes all the difference.
There is little point in disconnecting if it amounts to coming up for breath before plunging back into the digital flood.
A question for you: Which wolf are you feeding this week?
When you feed one, you starve the other.
That’s all for this week!
Thank you for reading, and share with anyone you think may benefit.

Great post, as always!
On my end, I've been feeding the good wolf, with a new routine: when I wake up at 6:30am, I read books for an hour or more, while my baby sleeps. I love the feeling of re-training my brain for deep focus
That Rocky poster is fantastic! It's one of my favorites, glad you were able to see it!
