Hi there,
I’m making dinner while writing this. You?
Five things to share:
For this week, why not try the following:
Opt-out.
Re-design your lifestyle.Brag about the 7-9 hours of sleep you get each night.
Go for a walk.
Nurture your hobby(ies).
Kill your phone.
Boast about all the books you have been reading in your free time.
Fill your days with silence, contemplation, and boredom.
One of the oldest pianists in the world is 106-year-old Colette Maze and she has been playing the piano since she was five years old. She says that being passionate is the key to staying young at heart: Less scrolling, more passionate-ing.
A quote I want to share with you:
“Don’t just do something. Stand there.”
— Rochelle Myer
In Praise of Idleness by Bertrand Russell
A man who has worked long hours all his life will become bored if he becomes suddenly idle. But without a considerable amount of leisure a man is cut off from many of the best things. In idleness, there will be happiness and joy of life, instead of frayed nerves, weariness, and dyspepsia.
I looked it up. dys·pep·sia noun indigestion.
A question for you: What is your reason for unplugging?
If there is no good reason to be doing something then it’s not worth doing.
P.s. There is a Substack app for iPhone users now. You already know I’m not getting it but if you’re into that kind of stuff, don’t say I didn’t tell you about it.
That’s all for this week!
Thank you for reading, and please share with anyone you think may benefit.

I really enjoyed watching the Youtube video about the 107 year old woman who plays the piano. This was a lovely newsletter this week. I want to unplug more so that I can calm my mind and start analyzing my thoughts on a deeper level.
