Hi there,
The gods must be mocking me because last year I was done with the dating apps (after like a day) and set to courageously try offline dating and share my adventures with you here— I assume some of you might be interested— but I met someone offline like a week later. We had a beautiful summer. I said the same thing for this year and I ran into someone literally two days later while shopping. Did you wish me such luck? ♡
Five things to share:
Tool for reality: Talk to people IRL. All kinds of people. Everywhere. All the time. That’s what you spend all day scrolling on your phone trying to find anyway: People, conversations, connection. Just move it offline. “Oh, but it can be awkward.” And is it not pathetic talking to a screen all day long? Awkward > Pathetic. Hope you understand.
Additional tools for reality: 100 ways to spend more time offline: Not your average list
A quote I want to share with you:
The purpose of art is to wash the dust of daily life off our souls.
— Picasso
Sometimes I want to ask if any of this is of any use to you. Does it change you, challenge you? Does it even matter? Then I remember I write so I don’t drop dead after my 9 to 5, after the dishes are done, after the phone calls that end with, “I love you, travel well.” A necessity for my soul, and if luck allows it an inspiration for others.
A question for you: What do you do to wash the dust of daily life off your soul?
That’s all for this week!
Thank you for reading, and share with anyone you think may benefit.
time spent offline is now a monthly analog publication you can get delivered straight to your mailbox with 20 ideas every month.
Until next time,

My answer to your question is really literal lol: Taking a hot bath. Esp in the winter, it's truly a relaxing end to the day.
